 A period Hitchcock armchair,with original paint and stencil, great classical form ,Saint John river,York County |

 We found a chair table,but this one was modifield to a fixed top form many years ago,probably Kings County,N.B.(see Ryder,page 105) |
 The base is made of butternut wood and the pine boards from the old round top incorporated into a drop leaf table. |
 The modified top is great,noting the original tree sawn centre boards,and the old ochre paint |
 Someone thought it would be more practical this way,we date this table from the first quarter,nineteenth century |
 A New Brunswick pine writing desk,old stained finish,fine dovetails,2nd quarter 19th.cen. |
 A Provincial maple side chair,chairs of this style have been known to surface around the St.Martins area.Ryders book talks of a chairmaker at Tynemouth Creek with similarities. |
